In-Home Healthcare Aide Position

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable In-Home Healthcare Aide to provide essential care and support services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities while maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility support, while maintaining their privacy and dignity

- Monitor and record vital signs, medication schedules, and changes in client condition or behavior

- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary

- Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe environment

- Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with transportation needs

- Engage clients in conversation and activities to provide companionship and mental stimulation

- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare team members regarding client status

Required Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- At least two years of previous experience

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- CPR and First Aid certification

- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility, including safe transfer techniques

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated reliability and time management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional healthcare certifications or training

- Experience working with specific populations (elderly, disabled, etc.)

- Bilingual language skills

Working Conditions:

- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

- May require lifting up to 50 pounds and maintaining physical stamina throughout shift

- Must be comfortable working in various home environments

- Some travel between client locations may be required
